For Our Missionary Family
- All of the van Opstals will be visiting family and friends in Holland during the first weeks of January. Pray for safe travel and a chance to refresh.
- Jill and Paul van Opstal have been challenged by several very difficult trials in recent months.
- Jill and her family are still grieving the loss of her brother
- Paul’s sister Joke is the director of about 100 missionaries in Cambodia, but has not been able to serve because of heart and cancer surgeries.
- Joke’s daughter Anna is recovering from a coma and cancer surgery.
- Elisa van Opstal graduated from high school in December and plans to enroll at Cedarville University in Ohio. Please pray that she receives the scholarships necessary to do that.
For The Children and Workers of Lar Feliz
- Praise God for the learning progress some children have made. Some are now recognized as the top students in their schools.
- Praise God for the spiritual awakening that has occurred among many teens in recent months. Many are now seriously studying the Bible and serving Christ in various ways.
- Praise God for the increased support being provided by Brazilian businesses
- Pray for a change of heart in several rebellious teenage girls who have rejected the love and care of the Lar Feliz staff. Pray that they find faith in Christ.
- Pray that attempts to limit the exposure of Lar Feliz children to the teachings of the Bible will not succeed.
